Magazine front cover (First Draft)

This is the first draft of my music magazine's front cover from my design and using the audiences responses. But with this being my first, there are some faults and things that don't work. A big problem is the very different variety of fonts and it would make the reader get distracted (it also dosen't follow the generic convention) in which typically they are all the same fonts but some are bigger and some are smaller and some are in different colours.  It is also covering the artists face and for this magazine being a first release and new this shouldn't happen in its first issue. Also too much different colours that have been used with the colours of black and grey maily beng the main colours but also red is a main one too. The purple is an odd one because it is too bright and because my magazine is a rock magazine, it need to have dark colour. I can still use these colours but I need to have them in a darker tone so I can match my rock magazine convention. Also the layout is messy and is not very presentable in terms of the fonts being out of place and the barcode being too big (where it is meant to be small and not take lots of space of the page). It also needs more contents (so there is not a massive bit of white space) so the audience will be able to see the wide variety of contents that the magazine has and is avaliable to offer. By using this I will be able to create a better front cover by using the generic and typical conventions of a front cover.
