We started looking at school magazines that had been made for coursework by past students and wthen we decided what could be improved and what it good of/about it.
The magazine must contain:-
·
A wide range of fonts and colours to make the
cover more interesting (i.e.-)
Ø
Colourful and stylish fonts
Ø
A more appealing desgin
·
The cover needs to have a good cover photo so
the audience can tell that it is a magazine for school students (refer to the
Mise-en-Scene) i.e-
Ø
School students wearing the school uniform
Ø
Students or teachers in class
Ø
Image of the school
Ø
School stationary
Ø
Clubs
Ø
Students studying
Ø
School life
·
There must be no spelling mistakes on the cover
page or the contents.
·
On the contents page there must be more stories
or topics (maybe 10 or 13) so that it makes the audience want to read on.
·
There must be a price on the magazine or
somewhere on the cover to show how much the magazine costs or if it’s free.
·
As on the cover page the contents page must be/
have fun and engaging colours and fonts.
·
Don’t use the same fonts or colours (it makes
the magazine seem boring and dull and it won’t catch the target audience’s
attention.
·
The cover must have or show the date and when it’s
out (e.g. weekly, monthly and how long).
·
Don’t forget to include the barcode (it’s
usually put on the bottom right or left.
·
When editing a photo or clip art, make sure it’s
edited properly (i.e. it looks professional and it’s not scruffy: it is smart
and neat).
